FTC is a federal organization set up to protect consumers. With input from consumers and the public, the FTC can help prevent fraud, deception, unfair and  anti-competitive business practices in the marketplace.

Better Business Bureau

The Better Business Bureau operates within Canada and the United States. It is an institute dedicated to "fostering honest and responsive relationships between businesses and consumers, instilling consumer confidence and contributing to a trustworthy marketplace for all."  One can locate a business within the Better Business Bureau site and read reviews, educate themselves on what other consumers are saying and submit complaints about company operations etc.

1-800-FDA-1088 or using the website The MedWatch program allows health care providers to report problems possibly caused by FDA-regulated products such as drugs, medical devices, medical foods and dietary supplements.
